Conquer the Deep with Confidence

Engineered for anglers who demand nothing but the best, the Daiwa 25 Saltiga G 18000-H Spinning Reel represents over 20 years of relentless innovation. Built to handle the extreme demands of saltwater fishing, it combines next-generation gearing, a rigid Monocoque frame, and advanced drag systems to deliver superior strength, precision, and longevity.

Its robust PowerDrive system works in perfect harmony with the oversized gearing and Power Rotor to ensure fluid retrieves and powerful control over even the most stubborn ocean giants. Enhanced with Magsealed technology and the new ATD Tough Drag, the reel remains smooth and reliable in the harshest conditions. Designed for perfect balance and long sessions, it lets you fish stronger, longer, and smarter.

Performance-Driven Technology

PowerDrive System

The core design philosophy centers around maximizing power and toughness. This system integrates a high-efficiency PowerDrive Engine in the body and a reinforced PowerDrive Rotor, ensuring seamless performance under heavy stress.

PowerDrive Engine Unit

Harness formidable torque with this upgraded engine unit, which houses a larger Power Digigear and Roller Oscillation system for unparalleled strength and smoother operation over time.

Oversized Power Digigear

Crafted from ultra-strong G1 duralumin, this gear is 10% wider and 6% thicker than its predecessor. Paired with precision-machined teeth, it reduces flex and maintains drive efficiency for effortless, consistent power delivery.

Roller Power Oscillation

By upgrading the support pillar with two ball bearings, this system increases oscillation efficiency by 20%, resulting in improved winding fluidity and control—even when fighting massive fish.

PowerDrive Rotor

Designed to handle extreme stress with ease, this rotor features a sphere-like shape for reduced rotational inertia and increased rigidity (by 7%). Every handle turn translates into smooth, forceful retrieval, even during hard battles.

Enhanced Line Management and Drag Control

Tough Line Roller System

Built to endure heavy-duty usage, the updated line roller is larger and more durable. Its streamlined design integrates seamlessly with the bail arm, increasing structural rigidity while reducing friction—perfectly suited for PE braided lines.

Crank Power Bail

The improved bail design includes a crank shape that consistently guides line to the roller. It also enhances the angle of operation, preventing accidental closures and improving line control during active jigging.

ATD Tough Drag System

This high-performance drag system uses a larger carbon washer stack to provide smooth, consistent pressure throughout the fight. It maintains peak performance even during extended runs under tension.

ATD Carbon Drag Washers

Engineered for resilience and control, these washers offer stable drag across a wide pressure range, allowing for smoother engagements.

DRD Drag System

An evolution of traditional carbon drag, the DRD integrates eight metal rollers on a metal plate to manage heat buildup and reduce drag loss. It’s five times more durable, providing unwavering performance under extreme loads.

Protected and Optimized for Saltwater

Monocoque Body (MQ)

This one-piece aluminum housing eliminates the need for side screws, expanding internal space and enabling the use of a larger drive gear. The MQ design boosts rigidity, enhances gear alignment, and minimizes intrusion of water and debris.

LC-ABS SW Spool

With its two-stage tapered lip, this spool reduces line friction and minimizes tangles near the end of long casts. It’s optimized for thick lines and improves casting distance by around 2%, providing a smoother overall casting experience.

Magsealed Technology

Instead of rubber seals, Daiwa uses MagOil, a magnetically controlled liquid barrier that prevents water and dust from entering while maintaining smooth rotation. This aerospace-grade innovation protects key internal components for long-term reliability.

Magsealed Bearings

These next-gen bearings use MagOil to form a water-tight seal, preventing corrosion and wear. Installed on both sides of the drive gear, they offer lasting protection where it matters most—keeping your reel running like new through countless saltwater trips.
