Shimano Ocea Jigger 1500 HG Jigging Reel
Your Trusted Jigging Partner, Day After Day
The Shimano Ocea Jigger 1500 HG Jigging Reel has been fully upgraded, reinforcing its position as the flagship of Shimano's saltwater jigging series. It now incorporates cutting-edge technologies such as Infinity Drive and MicroModule Gear, which together reduce reeling resistance by 60% compared to earlier versions. The newly designed handle offers a firm, confident grip and enhances power transmission during intense retrieves.
By uniting a Hagane Body with an S-Compact Body, this reel achieves remarkable strength without adding excess weight. Eight shielded A-RB ball bearings, along with X-Protect technology, ensure buttery-smooth operation and defense against saltwater intrusion. The high-gear (HG) model, with a 6.4:1 gear ratio, is optimized for rapid jigging and highly active fishing situations. With a strong 7.5kg drag, it’s fully capable of taking on substantial fish.
MicroModule Gear
MicroModule gearing integrated into the worm shaft drastically minimizes oscillation vibration. This engineering advance offers exceptional smoothness while maintaining full strength and long-term reliability.
HAGANE Body
The HAGANE Body provides extreme rigidity with zero twist. Its exceptional stiffness and impact resistance prevent body flex under load, efficiently converting angler input into powerful cranking performance.
X-Protect
Featuring a water-repellent coating and a labyrinth-style drainage design, X-Protect delivers superior water resistance without compromising rotor lightness or rotation smoothness.
E.I. Anti-Corrosion Surface Treatment
A secondary EI treatment penetrates the material after anodization, eliminating microscopic pores where salt could accumulate. This creates an ultrasmooth surface and more than doubles corrosion resistance compared to standard anodized finishes.
Shielded A-RB Bearings
These bearings include shields on both sides to prevent salt and sand from interfering with rotation, greatly extending service life in harsh conditions.
Super Free System
The bearing-supported pinion gear eliminates spool shaft friction during casting. By maintaining perfect alignment between the pinion and spool shaft when disengaged, this system allows for longer, freer, and more effortless casts.
