Looking to elevate your jigging performance? The Shimano 24 Game Type J Fullbend B60-3 Overhead Jigging Rod is a versatile, full-solid rod built with a distinctive hybrid blank design. At its core is a high-strength Taftec Infinity carbon structure, wrapped in a Hi-Power X FULLSOLID outer layer. This advanced construction removes common full-solid issues like unwanted blank “blurring” and torsional twist, resulting in a consistently smooth yet powerful jigging action. The outcome is the deep, torque-rich bend unique to full-solid rods — without any loss of lifting power.
Hi-Power X FULLSOLID
The Hi-Power X FULLSOLID blank uses Shimano’s proprietary carbon tape reinforcement technology. The outermost layer is wrapped with Hi-Power X carbon tape to suppress twisting and prevent power loss, while still preserving the smooth, progressive bend that full-solid rods are known for. This design eliminates the uncomfortable torsional feel often found in traditional full-solid rods and delivers a stable, dependable action under load.
Taftec Infinity
Taftec Infinity is a high-strength solid tip technology offering three times the winding strength and five times the winding capacity of conventional solid tips. It even surpasses the durability of the original Taftec∞, providing an exceptionally tough and reliable tip built to handle demanding jigging conditions.
CI4+
CI4+ is Shimano’s carbon-reinforced material that is lighter and stronger than standard resin materials. An evolution of the original CI4, it is approximately 2.5 times more rigid. By improving both lightness and stiffness, components such as reel seats made with CI4+ can be more compact and lighter without sacrificing strength.
