The Daiwa 26 Certate HD 5000D Spinning Reel is engineered for anglers who expect exceptional strength, reliability and performance in demanding conditions. Designed as a versatile crossover reel for both inshore and offshore fishing, the 5000D offers the power and durability needed to tackle hard-fighting species such as Kahawai, Snapper and a variety of pelagic fish.
As a Heavy Duty model, the Certate HD is built to withstand prolonged pressure, heavier drag settings and demanding fishing techniques. Its rigid Monocoque aluminium body provides a strong foundation while allowing Daiwa to incorporate a larger drive gear for increased winding torque and enhanced long-term durability. Magsealed technology helps protect the reel's internal components from water, salt and debris, maintaining smooth and reliable operation in both freshwater and saltwater environments.
The Airdrive Design reduces rotational inertia while improving overall balance, delivering a lighter and more responsive winding experience without compromising power. Working together with Tough Digigear, it provides smooth and controlled power transmission when battling strong and aggressive fish. Key Technologies
Magsealed Body
Daiwa's Magsealed technology uses a magnetised oil seal around the rotor's main shaft to help prevent water, salt and dust from entering the reel's internal mechanism. This provides enhanced protection for the reel's critical components and helps maintain smooth, dependable performance.
Airdrive Design
Airdrive Design is Daiwa's four-component design concept incorporating the Airdrive Rotor, Airdrive Bail, Airdrive Spool and Airdrive Shaft. By reducing unnecessary weight and rotational resistance, the system improves balance, winding smoothness and overall responsiveness.
Monocoque (MQ) Body
The Monocoque construction replaces the traditional two-piece body and sideplate design with a rigid one-piece frame. A screw-in engine plate houses the main gear, helping minimise flex and twisting under heavy loads while creating a more effectively sealed internal mechanism. The elimination of the conventional sideplate also allows for a more compact body design.
ATD Drag
Daiwa's Automatic Tournament Drag (ATD) system uses specially formulated drag grease that starts with a lower viscosity and becomes more viscous as the drag engages. This helps reduce initial start-up inertia and delivers smoother drag performance from the moment a fish takes the bait.
Tough Digigear
Tough Digigear is Daiwa's digitally designed, precision-machined gearing system. Developed as an evolution of Digigear, it provides improved gear precision, smooth rotation and increased strength for reliable performance under heavy loads.

We do not have to provide a refund if you have changed your mind about a particular purchase, so please choose carefully.
