Designed to handle the toughest saltwater conditions, the 26 Certate SW is built around Daiwa’s “Be Strong. No Limit.” philosophy. It delivers exceptional strength, rigidity and control for anglers who demand maximum performance from their tackle when targeting powerful saltwater species.
The latest generation features a Powerdrive Zaion Rotor, engineered to provide greater structural strength without adding unnecessary weight. Its improved rigidity helps minimise rotor flex under heavy pressure, resulting in more efficient winding and enhanced control during intense battles with hard-fighting fish.
Combined with Daiwa’s highly rigid Monocoque (MQ) Body, the Certate SW accommodates larger, more powerful gearing within a compact and extremely durable body. This design maximises power transfer while maintaining excellent overall rigidity.
For reliable operation in demanding marine environments, Magsealed technology helps prevent water, salt and contaminants from entering the reel’s internal mechanism. The ATD drag system provides smooth and consistent drag performance, helping anglers maintain control when fighting strong and powerful fish.

OVERSIZED POWER DIGIGEAR
Large, high-strength gearing provides increased power and efficient torque transfer, making the reel well suited to demanding saltwater applications.
ZAION BODY
Constructed from a high-density carbon-based resin material, Zaion offers excellent strength while remaining lightweight and highly resistant to corrosion. It provides an advanced alternative to conventional magnesium and aluminium alloy reel bodies.
MAGSEALED BODY
Daiwa’s Magsealed system uses magnetised oil technology to create a protective barrier around the reel’s internal components. This helps keep out water, salt and dust, providing enhanced protection for the reel’s internal “engine room” and improving long-term durability.
ATD DRAG
The Automatic Tournament Drag system uses specially formulated drag grease that changes its characteristics as the drag engages. This helps minimise start-up inertia and provides a smoother transition from the initial hook-up through to sustained pressure during the fight.
MONOCOQUE (MQ) BODY
The one-piece Monocoque construction replaces the conventional two-piece body and side-plate design. A screw-in engine plate secures the main gear directly within the body, reducing body flex and twisting under heavy loads while also improving sealing. Removing the traditional side plate allows the reel to maintain a more compact profile while delivering greater strength, rigidity and protection.
