The Daiwa 23 Exceler LT 4000D-C Spinning Reel takes Daiwa’s popular “Light & Tough” concept to the next level with the introduction of Airdrive Design. This latest generation has been redesigned to deliver a lighter overall feel, smoother rotation and improved responsiveness without sacrificing the strength needed for reliable everyday fishing.
At the heart of the new design is the Airdrive Rotor, which significantly reduces start-up inertia. Less rotational resistance means the handle requires less effort to get moving, giving the reel an exceptionally light and responsive feel. The redesigned rotor and bail assembly further contribute to the smooth, effortless rotation of the reel.
Whether you're an experienced angler or new to fishing, the 23 Exceler offers an excellent balance of lightweight performance, durability and smooth operation, making it a versatile choice for a wide range of light tackle applications.
Airdrive Design
Daiwa’s Airdrive Design is based on four key components: the Airdrive Rotor, Airdrive Bail, Airdrive Spool and Airdrive Shaft. By reducing unnecessary weight throughout the reel’s moving components, this system improves rotational smoothness, responsiveness and overall balance.
Zaion V Body
The reel features a Zaion V Body, made from Daiwa’s advanced lightweight carbon-resin material. Zaion V delivers an excellent strength-to-weight ratio, providing a rigid and durable reel body while keeping overall weight to a minimum.
ABS Longcast
The LC-ABS Longcast spool uses a lighter construction and redesigned spool profile to improve casting performance. Compared with traditional spool designs, this technology can increase average casting distance by approximately 5%, helping anglers achieve greater distance with their casts.
Tough Digigear
Tough Digigear is the latest development of Daiwa’s proven Digigear system. The digitally engineered and precision-machined gearing provides accurate gear engagement, smooth rotation and increased durability, delivering dependable performance during repeated use.
