Inspired by the fire behind the Fuego name, the Daiwa Fuego 762 MHFS-NZ Spinning Rod combines lightweight construction, impressive sensitivity and serious fishing power. Developed specifically for the New Zealand market, this rod is designed to perform from both boat and shore.
At its core is a HVF Carbon blank, engineered to deliver excellent strength without adding unnecessary weight. The result is a highly responsive rod that allows you to detect subtle bites while still providing the backbone needed to control powerful fish.
Daiwa's X45 Bias Construction further enhances the blank by reducing unwanted twisting during casting and under load. This improves casting efficiency, accuracy, power and overall durability.
Fitted with Fuji Fazlite guides, the Fuego provides smooth and reliable line flow, helping maximise casting distance while working particularly well with braided fishing lines. Combined with a comfortable EVA grip and Daiwa-designed reel seat, this rod offers a well-balanced and versatile setup for a wide range of New Zealand fishing applications.

HVF Carbon
HVF (High Volume Fibre) Carbon uses carefully controlled resin content combined with high-quality unidirectional graphite fibres. This produces a blank that is lightweight, strong and highly responsive, giving anglers excellent sensitivity and control.
Fuji Fazlite Guides
The rod is equipped with Fuji Fazlite guides, offering a strong and durable guide system with excellent hardness, heat resistance and bending strength.
Designed to handle braided lines, Fazlite guides provide smooth line movement through the rod while maintaining the durability needed for regular use in demanding fishing conditions.
X45 Bias Construction
X45 Construction uses carbon fibre layers arranged on a 45-degree bias to help prevent the blank from twisting during casting and when fighting fish.
By controlling unwanted blank movement, X45 technology improves casting power, accuracy, sensitivity and overall structural strength while helping the rod maintain its intended shape under pressure.
Daiwa Reel Seat
The custom Daiwa Reel Seat is designed to provide a comfortable and secure connection between the angler, reel and rod. Its distinctive design also complements the overall appearance of the Fuego series.

Returns Policy
We do not have to provide a refund if you have changed your mind about a particular purchase, so please choose carefully.
If the goods are faulty we will meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act to provide a remedy.
