The Reel
The Daiwa Saltist SD 40H Star Drag Overhead Reellooks stunning and is designed to handle whatever is thrown at it. It's made from machined aluminium and anodised in a sleek matte black for maximum corrosion resistance. The true freespool of this star drag system allows for longer casts under a variety of conditions and uninhibited spool pay out is ideally suited for fishing live bait. The 6.4 to 1 gear ratio is fast enough for jigging yet powerful enough to put big fish on the deck.

Utilising Daiwa's famous Digigear technology - the Saltist SD uses larger gear for perfect gear meshing and ultra smooth performance. Featuring stainless steel ball bearings for maximum corrosion resistance and a centrifugal braking system for ultimate casting control, the Saltist SD's casting performance is effortless. Combined with a large carbon-fibre drag system that provides a smooth 10kg of drag pressure, the Saltist SD is ready for any challenge.

The Rod
Rigorously designed and tested, and loaded with the pedigree and features that have made the Saltist name famous, the Daiwa Saltist-X 56-5/6B Overhead Rodhas it all. Featuring HVF graphite, Daiwa’s precise resin controlled, unidirectional graphite fibre blank technology, the result is a blank with maximum graphite density, delivering a rod that's incredibly durable, lightweight and sensitive, yet immensely powerful and strong.

Braiding X
Braiding X technology further enhances the Saltist X series rod design, strength, and performance. The wall of the blank has been strengthened to eliminate blank twist and distortion, increasing rod strength and lifting power and allowing lighter, slimmer blanks to be made.

Fazlite Anti-Tangle K-Series guides
Fuji's new Fazlite Anti-Tangle K-Series guides ensure trouble and tangle free time on the water.
