The PENN Spinfisher V 10500 Spinning Reel is designed for anglers who demand dependable performance in harsh surf and saltwater conditions. Featuring PENN's sealed construction, this robust reel helps protect its internal gearing and drag system from water and salt intrusion, giving you confidence when fishing in challenging environments.
A rubber gasket on the Superline spool prevents braided line from slipping, eliminating the need for monofilament backing. The built-in line capacity rings also provide a quick visual reference of how much line remains on the spool during a long, hard-fought battle.
Watertight Construction
With six seals incorporated into its design, the Spinfisher V provides enhanced protection against water intrusion. Whether you're fishing from the surf or exposing your reel to sea spray, this protective construction helps keep the gearbox and drag system shielded from the elements.
Slammer Drag System
The sealed drag system features three HT-100 drag washers, with one positioned above the spool and two underneath. These washers are specially greased to deliver smooth drag performance and long-lasting durability. The wide adjustment range and oversized drag knob allow anglers to fine-tune drag pressure easily, including when applying maximum stopping power against powerful fish.
Full Metal Body
The full metal body and side plate provide excellent rigidity, helping maintain precise gear alignment under heavy loads. This strong construction is built to withstand the demands of hard-fighting fish and frequent saltwater use.
Superline Spool
The spool features a rubber gasket that securely grips braided line, preventing unwanted slippage and removing the need for backing line.
Line Capacity Rings
Three markings on the spool flange indicate approximately one-third, two-thirds and a full spool of line remaining. These visual indicators help anglers monitor line levels during a fight and make respooling easier by providing a useful reference when adding backing line.
