A truly strong and durable fighter for the next-level off shore game! Purpose-built for offshore, saltwater fishing, the Shimano 20 Stradic SW 8000 PG Spinning Reel features some of Shimano's top reel technologies found in top end reels. Both Infinity Drive and Silent Drive are included providing improved pinion gear support and less wobble inside the reel resulting to more powerful and smoother cranking. X-Ship and X-Protect shut water out from entering the inner chambers of the reel, making it more durable than ever before.
Infinity Drive
Rotational resistance is reduced by 60% due to a complete redesigned Pinion Gear Support structure, improved drag clicker mechanism and a reduction of the reel's total resistance.
Silent Drive
From the fundamental, whole body design to the most intricate parts, every piece has been carefully reviewed, and the smallest clearance gaps and wobbles have been eliminated to the highest tolerances.
X-Shield
By placing sealing gaskets in 12 critical locations throughout the rigid aluminium body, Shimano created a water resistant structure that can hold up against the toughest conditions and fish Mother Nature has to offer.
X-Protect
6 Times more resistant than Core Protect, X-Protect utilises a labyrinth (maze) structure and water-repellent treatment to prevent water from entering the inner areas of the reel.
