HAGANE Gear
At the heart of the reel lies Shimano’s cold-forged HAGANE Drive Gear. Unlike traditional die-cast gears, this one is formed without extra machining, resulting in unmatched durability, light weight, and long-term smoothness—even under intense pressure.
X-Ship
X-Ship combines several features to boost efficiency. By placing the pinion gear closer to the center of the large-diameter drive gear and supporting it with two high-performance bearings, Shimano maximizes power transfer from the handle to the rotor, offering smooth, powerful rotation under heavy loads.
CI4+ Body
Made from Carbon Interfusion (CI4+), this material blends carbon fiber and graphite to produce a lightweight, yet incredibly strong body. It's lighter than magnesium and built to withstand harsh saltwater conditions.
